We understand that situations may arise where you need to return an item. This Return Policy outlines the terms and conditions for returning products purchased from our website.
Return Eligibility
30-Day Return Window
- All products purchased directly from FireSafetyProducts.us are eligible for return within 30 days from the date of delivery.
- The 30-day period begins on the day you receive your product, as confirmed by our shipping carrier's delivery confirmation.
- Returns initiated after the 30-day window will not be accepted unless required by applicable law.
- Fire Extinguishers are not appliable to his 30-day return window.
Condition Requirements
To be eligible for a return, items must be:
- In original, unused condition
- Complete with all parts, accessories, and documentation
- In the original manufacturer packaging that is undamaged and intact
- Free from any signs of use, installation attempts, or customization
- Accompanied by the original receipt or proof of purchase
Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned:
- Products that have been installed, mounted, or used
- Custom or special-order items specifically manufactured to your specifications
- Clearance items marked as "Final Sale"
- Batteries and other consumable items
- Software, digital products, or downloadable content
- Products with broken seals on packaging for items where hygiene is a concern
- Discontinued items no longer available in our inventory
Return Process
Initiating a Return

Contact Our Customer Service: Before returning any item, you must contact our customer service department to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.

Provide Required Information: When requesting an RMA, please provide:

- Product name and SKU

- Preferred method of refund (original payment method or store credit)

Receive RMA Confirmation: Once your return request is approved, you will receive an email with:
- Your unique RMA number
- Return shipping instructions
- A return label (if applicable, separate fees apply)
- Return deadline (typically 14 days from RMA issuance)
Packaging Your Return
- Pack the item securely in appropriate packaging to prevent damage during transit
- Include all original parts, accessories, manuals, and documentation
- Place a copy of your RMA confirmation inside the package
- Clearly write the RMA number on the outside of the package
- Remove or cover any original shipping labels
Shipping Your Return
- Customer Responsibility: The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error (damaged, defective, or incorrect item shipped).
- Shipping Carrier: We recommend using a trackable shipping method with delivery confirmation.
- Insurance: Consider insuring your package for the value of the merchandise being returned.
- Return Address: Ship your return to the address provided in your RMA confirmation.
- Tracking Information: After shipping your return, please email the tracking number to returns@firesafetyproducts.us with your RMA number in the subject line.
Refund Process
Inspection Period
- All returns are subject to inspection upon receipt at our warehouse.
- Returns that do not meet our condition requirements may be rejected or subject to a restocking fee.
- We will notify you by email if there are any issues with your return.
Refund Methods
- Original Payment Method: Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.
- Store Credit: In certain circumstances, refunds may be issued as store credit at your request or if the original payment method is no longer available.
Refund Timeline
- Processing Time: Returns are typically processed within 3-5 business days after receipt at our warehouse.
- Credit Card/PayPal Refunds: Your financial institution may require an additional 2-10 business days to post the refund to your account.
- Confirmation Email: You will receive an email notification when your refund has been processed.
Refund Amount
- Full Refunds: Include the purchase price of the item(s) being returned.
- Partial Refunds: May be issued for items returned in less than perfect condition or beyond the 30-day window but within an exception period.
- Non-Refundable Costs: Original shipping charges, gift wrapping fees, and return shipping costs are not refundable unless the return is due to our error.
Restocking Fees
A restocking fee may apply in the following situations:
- 15% restocking fee for returns without original packaging
- 20% restocking fee for items showing signs of use or installation attempts
- 25% restocking fee for special order items (when return is approved as an exception)
- Restocking fees are calculated based on the original purchase price of the item(s)
Damaged or Defective Items
Items Damaged in Transit
- If your item arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of receipt.
- Take photos of the damaged packaging and product before disposing of any packaging material.
- We may request these photos as part of the claims process with our shipping carrier.
Defective Products
- Defective products discovered within 30 days of receipt may be returned for a full refund or replacement.
- Items that develop defects after 30 days but within the manufacturer's warranty period should be processed through the manufacturer's warranty service.
- We can assist with initiating manufacturer warranty claims upon request.
Exchanges
- Direct exchanges are not available through our return process.
- For exchanges, please return the unwanted item following our standard return procedure and place a new order for the desired item.
- If you need assistance with selecting a replacement product, our customer service team is available to help.
Promotional Items and Discounts
- If a return causes your order total to fall below the threshold for a previously applied promotion or discount, the value of that promotion or discount may be deducted from your refund amount.
- Free gifts received with purchases must be returned along with the qualifying purchase if the qualifying purchase is being returned.
- Discount codes used on the original purchase cannot be reapplied to future orders.
International Returns
Additional conditions apply for international returns:
- All international customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
- International returns may take 2-3 weeks to arrive at our facility.
- Customs duties, taxes, and import fees paid on the original shipment are not refundable.
- Return shipments should be marked as "Returned Merchandise" to avoid additional customs charges.
Gift Returns
- Items received as gifts may be returned for store credit only.
- The gift recipient must provide the order number or the buyer's name and shipping address to verify the purchase.
- Gift returns will not be communicated to the original purchaser unless required for verification purposes.
Amendments to Return Policy
- FireSafetyProducts.us reserves the right to modify this Return Policy at any time.
- Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website.
- The Return Policy in effect at the time of purchase will apply to returns from that purchase.
